ADDITIONAL PICTURES FROM THE FINAL DAY OF SHOOTING - 11.29.2010
From the Jackson Carnegie Library: The Second Installment is in the can!
We arrived a little before 8:00 AM and finished at approximately 5:50 PM. We got everything filmed, even the difficult shots in the mezzanine and the physical action stunts. The physical scenes were filmed sans stunt personnel, of course. No budget means no budget. The cast and crew were dedicated, focused and quick to solve problems. This was a real "down and dirty" shoot, with virtually no margin for error. Ron was his usual, professional, talented and good-humored self. Ken did a great job operating the main (and only!) camera, always querying Ron and John to make sure the shot was set up correctly and perfectly prior to filming. Noriko M. Katsumara acted as script supervisor and did a great job in helping us get the details done right. John Price elevated every facet of this shoot, helping Ron with
direction, Ken with cinematography, Casey, Dave and I with acting. He
also helped streamline the shooting script. Dominick Oliverio was our sound man, and he did an excellent job operating the boom microphone under trying conditions in some very confined spaces. Casey Spaulding and Dave Higgins were great. They were prepared and always ready to shoot and quick to master everything required in this installment. Casey brought a vulnerability masking a predatory animal instinct to her character. Dave was a determined, concerned Van Wyck as he fought to appease Doyle but not lose his life in the attempt. Pam Bond did a super job as our official photographer and even fed the crew, to which I again say, "Thank you...and thank God for you, Pam!" Sue McGee and Sandy Cagle of the library staff were very helpful in providing access to the areas we needed to film in and with helping us locate everything we needed in order to get the shoot finished on time. Below are some of Pam's behind-the-scenes photos from Sunday's shoot.
